About Us

The CCIC is a federally registered Canadian nonprofit organization of basic and clinical researchers and health care professionals established to promote evidence-based research and education concerning the endocannabinoid system and therapeutic applications of endocannabinoid and cannabinoid agents. For more information on our mission and methods, visit the CCIC homepage.

The objective of our educational platform is to share the content from CCIC’s 2018 annual conference on Cannabinoids in Clinical Practice with healthcare providers and the general public. The content from this two day conference covers a wide array of topics, including the basics about cannabinoids, the use of cannabinoids in special populations, the perspectives of key stakeholders on the legalization of cannabis, as well as public health and regulatory considerations of cannabis use.

We are grateful to our faculty for their excellent talks and for contributing their materials to this platform. We thank the CIHR for a Meeting and Planning Grant to enable this content to be shared, and to our meeting Sponsors and Exhibitors for supporting this important program.

The medical and non-medical use of cannabis is a very important topic in our society, and we all have a role to play in sharing our knowledge, generating new questions, and helping to implement the new cannabis policies safely and effectively. Thank you for your ongoing engagement
